Ryona: dal Giappone a Firenze per la mostra internazionale "Humanity" presso il Museo Bellini

In occasione della mostra internazionale HUMANITY che si terrà a Firenze dal 3 al 10 Maggio 2024 presso il Museo Bellini, conosciamo meglio gli artisti selezionati per questo evento dallo storico e critico d'arte Francesca Callipari.

Tra visioni fantasiose e tradizione, oggi siamo lieti di presentare l'artista Ryona.

1) BENVENUTA AD ILOVEITALY NEWS, SIAMO MOLTO FELICI DI INCONTRARTI … RACCONTACI DI TE, QUANDO NASCE LA TUA PASSIONE PER L'ARTE E QUAL' è STATO IL TUO PERCORSO DI FORMAZIONE?

RYONA: Amo disegnare da quando avevo tre anni. I miei nonni hanno invitato un insegnante di disegno a casa mia quando ero all'asilo. Ho ricevuto un premio al concorso di calligrafia e pittura per bambini asiatici quando ero alle elementari. Alle scuole medie mi sono iscritta al club artistico e dipingevo sempre. 

Ho studiato pittura al liceo artistico di Giovanni XXIII a Milano e ho conseguito un master presso l'Università dell'Arte di Kyoto. Adesso continuo a dipingere.... per sempre.

2) IN QUESTO EVENTO ESPORRAI UN'OPERA DI GENERE FIGURATIVO CHE DIETRO UN'IMMAGINE, APPARENTEMENTE SEMPLICE, NASCONDE UNA SERIE DI SIGNIFICATI. UN DIPINTO CHE RIMANDA ANCHE AL POPOLO GIAPPONESE E ALLA TUA CULTURA DI RIFERIMENTO. PARLACI DI QUESTO DIPINTO E DI CIO' CHE VORRESTI TRASMETTERE:

RYONA: Questa ragazza è un personaggio originale creato da me, si chiama Mao che significa "fiori di ciliegio che cadono come una danza".

"I capelli di MAO sono petali di ciliegi", la caratteristica di questi fiori è che durano meno di una settimana, hanno quindi un'esistenza fugace, ma il loro aspetto svolazzante è grazioso e bello, come è lo "spirito giapponese" il buon vecchio Giappone. Nella gentilezza c'è un animo forte.

"Gli occhi di MAO sono foglie di ginkgo biloba"

Il ginkgo è l'albero più antico del mondo e è l'unico albero sopravvissuto al bombardamento nucleare di Hiroshima, è un organismo molto vigoroso. È in grado di mettere persistentemente radici nel terreno e di farne spuntare di nuove, indipendentemente dalle condizioni ambientali.

Mao è un personaggio che simboleggia la grazia e la forza giapponese.

3) HUMANITY HA COME SCOPO QUELLO DI STIMOLARE I VISITATORI A RITROVARE LE PROPRIE EMOZIONI PIU' RECONDITE, A RIFLETTERE SUI VALORI E SU QUELLA UMANITà CHE LENTAMENTE STIAMO PERDENDO IN UNA SOCIETà ALIENANTE CHE CI PORTA SEMPRE PIù VERSO L'INDIFFERENZA, QUALI SONO I TUOI PENSIERI A RIGUARDO? PENSI CHE L'ARTE POSSA AIUTARE QUALE STRUMENTO DI RACCOGLIMENTO INTERIORE E DI RINASCITA?

RYONA: Sì, credo che l'arte possa aiutare. Penso che arte non sia solo pittura, ma anche musica, danza e scrittura. Ognuna di queste può suscitare un emozione nelle persone anche se non parlano la stessa lingua. Ora l'arte ha cambiato forma, viene distribuita sui social network sotto forma di video e immagini per raggiungere molte più persone. Penso che ispirerà e darà loro forza.

4) SOGNI O PROSSIMI PROGETTI IN PROGRAMMA?

RYONA: Vorrei diffondere Mao e l'idea che rappresenta nel mondo. Voglio che tutti comprendano la bellezza e la forza del Giappone attraverso Mao. Per questo motivo, non vorrei solo disegnare ed esporre i miei lavori ma anche realizzare prodotti come i giocattoli, cancelleria e i costumi tipici giapponesi per Mao. Mi piacerebbe collaborare con altre aziende.Cerco collaboratori!

On the occasion of the international exhibition HUMANITY which will be held in Florence from 3 to 10 May 2024 at the Bellini Museum, we get to know better the artists selected for this event by the art historian and critic Francesca Callipari.

Between imaginative visions and tradition, today we are pleased to present the artist Ryona.

1) WELCOME TO ILOVEITALY NEWS, WE ARE VERY HAPPY TO MEET YOU... TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF, WHEN WAS YOUR PASSION FOR ART BORN AND WHAT WAS YOUR TRAINING COURSE?

RYONA: I've loved drawing since I was three. My grandparents invited a drawing teacher to my house when I was in kindergarten. I received a prize in the Asian Children's Calligraphy and Painting Competition when I was in elementary school. In middle school I joined the art club and was always painting.

I studied painting at the Giovanni XXIII art school in Milan and obtained a master's degree at the Kyoto University of Art. Now I continue to paint.... forever.

2) IN THIS EVENT YOU WILL EXHIBIT A FIGURATIVE WORK WHICH BEHIND AN APPARENTLY SIMPLE IMAGE HIDES A SERIES OF MEANINGS. A PAINTING THAT ALSO REFERENCES TO THE JAPANESE PEOPLE AND YOUR REFERENCE CULTURE. TELL US ABOUT THIS PAINTING AND WHAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO CONVEY:

RYONA: This girl is an original character created by me, her name is Mao which means "cherry blossoms falling like a dance".

"MAO's hair is cherry petals", the characteristic of these flowers is that they last less than a week, therefore they have a fleeting existence, but their fluttering appearance is graceful and beautiful, as is the "Japanese spirit" the good old Japan. In kindness there is a strong soul.

"MAO's eyes are ginkgo biloba leaves"

Ginkgo is the oldest tree in the world and is the only tree to survive the nuclear bombing of Hiroshima, it is a very vigorous organism. It is capable of persistently putting down roots in the soil and making new ones sprout, regardless of environmental conditions.

Mao is a character who symbolizes Japanese grace and strength.

3) HUMANITY HAS THE PURPOSE OF STIMULATING VISITORS TO FIND THEIR MOST HIDDEN EMOTIONS, TO REFLECT ON THE VALUES AND ON THAT HUMANITY THAT WE ARE SLOWLY LOSING IN AN ALIENANT SOCIETY THAT DRIVES US MORE AND MORE TOWARDS INDIFFERENCE, WHICH ARE YOURS THOUGHTS ABOUT IT? DO YOU THINK ART CAN HELP AS A TOOL FOR INTERNAL COLLECTION AND REBIRTH?

RYONA: Yes, I think art can help. I think art is not just painting, but also music, dance and writing. Each of these can arouse an emotion in people even if they don't speak the same language. Now art has changed its form, it is distributed on social networks in the form of videos and images to reach many more people. I think it will inspire and empower them.

4) DREAMS OR NEXT PLANNED PROJECTS?

RYONA: I would like to spread Mao and the idea that she represents to the world. I want everyone to understand the beauty and strength of Japan through Mao. For this reason, I would not only like to design and exhibit my works but also create products such as toys, stationery and typical Japanese costumes for Mao. I would like to collaborate with other companies. I am looking for collaborators!
