In occasione della Mostra Internazionale "Italy calls the world" che si svolgerà a New York dal 21 giugno presso la Fridman Gallery, abbiamo avuto il piacere di intervistare Nataliia Deshko tra gli artisti selezionati per questo evento.
1. Benvenuta Nataliia, parla della tua formazione artistica, quando hai scoperto la tua passione?
Sono cresciuta in una famiglia di artisti e, fin da bambina, sono sempre stata immersa nell'arte. Questo ambiente ha nutrito naturalmente la mia curiosità e il desiderio di esplorare. Ho sempre sentito il bisogno di sperimentare tecniche diverse.
2. Per questa specifica esposizione a New York, quali tecniche o materiali hai scelto di utilizzare e perché ritieni che siano i più efficaci per trasmettere il messaggio della tua opera?
Per molti anni ho lavorato con la ceramica artistica, ma per questa mostra ho scelto di utilizzare la tecnica del resin art, ancora poco conosciuta, della quale mi sono profondamente innamorata per la sua capacità di esprimere movimento e libertà.
3. Il titolo "Italy Calls the World" suggerisce una connessione globale.Cosa ti ha colpito di questo evento?
Sono estremamente grata per l'opportunità di partecipare a un evento così importante. Per me rappresenta non solo un traguardo, ma anche un nuovo inizio.
4. Tu conosci bene il pubblico di questa città. Quale aspetto dell'arte pensi sia più urgente o necessario mostrare ai newyorkesi oggi?
New York City è una città straordinaria, vibrante e ricca di energia, dove culture diverse si incontrano e dialogano. Credo che proprio questa varietà renda il pubblico aperto e sensibile a ogni forma d'arte e a ogni tecnica espressiva.
5. Se un visitatore dovesse ricordare un'unica sensazione o un unico pensiero dopo aver osservato la tua opera in questa mostra, quale vorresti che fosse?

Interview with Nataliia Deshko, one of the protagonists of "Italy Calls the World"
On the occasion of the International Exhibition "Italy Calls the World," which will take place in New York from June 21st at the Fridman Gallery, we had the pleasure of interviewing Nataliia Deshko, one of the artists selected for this event.
1. Welcome, Nataliia. Tell me about your artistic background. When did you discover your passion?
I grew up in a family of artists and, from a young age, I was always immersed in art. This environment naturally nurtured my curiosity and desire to explore. I've always felt the need to experiment with different techniques.
2. For this specific exhibition in New York, what techniques or materials did you choose to use, and why do you think they are most effective in conveying the message of your work?
I've worked with artistic ceramics for many years, but for this exhibition I chose to use the still little-known resin art technique, which I deeply fell in love with for its ability to express movement and freedom.
3. The title "Italy Calls the World" suggests a global connection. What struck you about this event?
I'm extremely grateful for the opportunity to participate in such an important event. For me, it represents not only a milestone, but also a new beginning.
4. You know the audience in this city well. What aspect of art do you think is most urgent or necessary to showcase to New Yorkers today?
New York City is an extraordinary city, vibrant and full of energy, where different cultures meet and interact. I believe this very diversity makes the public open and receptive to every art form and expressive technique.
5. If a visitor were to recall a single sensation or thought after observing your work in this exhibition, what would it be?
I would like visitors to the exhibition to remember my works as an invitation to let go, to perceive movement and emotion: fluid, living art that speaks directly to the senses.
