Il 13 febbraio, le prestigiose sale del Museo d'Arte e Scienza di Milano apriranno le porte alla cerimonia di premiazione degli Olympus Arts Awards. Tra i nomi selezionati per la categoria Arti Visive spicca quello di Natalia Alf che qui conosciamo meglio.

1."Joy of Life" è il titolo della tua opera, vincitrice degli Olympus Arts Awards. Cosa significa per te la gioia di vivere?

«Per me, la gioia di vivere è uno stato di consapevolezza interiore e accettazione. Non è una felicità costante, ma la capacità di vivere la vita in tutta la sua profondità, con luci e ombre, fragilità e forza. La gioia nasce dall'autenticità e dall'essere pienamente presenti nel momento.»

2. Quale ruolo pensi che debba avere l'arte oggi? E quale messaggio cerchi di trasmettere con le tue opere?

«Oggi, l'arte dovrebbe creare uno spazio di riflessione e riconnessione. 

In un mondo guidato dalla velocità e dall'informazione costante, l'arte può rallentarci e riportarci al nostro mondo interiore. Attraverso le mie opere, cerco di trasmettere onestà emotiva, equilibrio e l'importanza della sensibilità e della presenza.»

3. Definiresti il ​​"fare arte" come un bisogno?

«Sì, assolutamente. Fare arte è una necessità per me. È un modo per elaborare emozioni ed esperienze che non possono essere espresse a parole. L'arte non è una scelta, ma una parte essenziale di ciò che sono.»

4. Il luogo in cui le tue opere prendono vita: quanto è importante per te? Potresti lavorare ovunque o solo nel tuo studio?

«Il luogo è importante per il mio processo creativo. Il mio studio è uno spazio di concentrazione e libertà, dove l'intuizione può dispiegarsi naturalmente. Tuttavia, l'ispirazione stessa non si limita a un solo luogo: nasce dall'osservazione, dal silenzio e dall'esperienza vissuta.»

5. Cosa significa per te essere stata selezionata tra i trenta vincitori dell'Olympus Arts Awards ed esporre a Milano, al Museo MAS Arte e Scienza?

«Essere selezionata tra i trenta vincitori degli Olympus Arts Awards è un grande onore e un importante riconoscimento del mio percorso artistico. Esporre a Milano, al MAS Museo Arte e Scienza, permette al mio lavoro di entrare in un dialogo internazionale e di raggiungere un pubblico più ampio.»

Olympus Arts Awards: interview with artist Natalia Alf

On February 13th, the prestigious halls of the Museum of Art and Science in Milan will open their doors to the Olympus Arts Awards ceremony. Among the names selected for the Visual Arts category, Natalia Alf stands out, whom we'll learn more about here.

1. "Joy of Life" is the title of your work, which won the Olympus Arts Awards. What does joy of life mean to you?

"For me, joy of life is a state of inner awareness and acceptance. It's not constant happiness, but the ability to experience life in all its depth, with its light and shadows, fragility and strength. Joy comes from authenticity and being fully present in the moment."

2. What role do you think art should have today? And what message do you try to convey with your works?

"Today, art should create a space for reflection and reconnection.

In a world driven by speed and constant information, art can slow us down and bring us back to our inner world. Through my works, I try to convey emotional honesty, balance, and the importance of sensitivity and presence."

3. Would you define "making art" as a need?

"Yes, absolutely. Making art is a necessity for me. It's a way to process emotions and experiences that can't be expressed in words. Art is not a choice, but an essential part of who I am.

4. The place where your works come to life: how important is it to you? Could you work anywhere or only in your studio?

"Place is important to my creative process. My studio is a space of concentration and freedom, where intuition can unfold naturally. However, inspiration itself is not limited to a single place: it arises from observation, silence, and lived experience."

5. What does it mean to you to be selected among the thirty winners of the Olympus Arts Awards and to exhibit in Milan, at the MAS Arte e Scienza Museum?

"Being selected among the thirty winners of the Olympus Arts Awards is a great honor and an important recognition of my artistic journey. Exhibiting in Milan, at the MAS Museo Arte e Scienza, allows my work to enter an international dialogue and reach a wider audience."
