In occasione della Mostra Internazionale "Italy calls the world" che si svolgerà a New York dal 21 giugno presso la Fridman Gallery, abbiamo avuto il piacere di intervistare Mzekala Berdzenishvili tra gli artisti selezionati per l'esposizione digitale.

1. Per iniziare, racconti ai nostri lettori quando ha scoperto la sua passione e come ha capito che si trattava di un vero e proprio bisogno spirituale?

Ho scoperto il mio interesse per il disegno e ho capito che dovevo coltivare questa passione alla precocissima età di tre anni. È stata una chiamata naturale e istintiva, che si è subito trasformata in un profondo bisogno spirituale.

2. In questa mostra a New York, le sue opere saranno esposte in formato digitale sul grande schermo della galleria. Cosa significa per lei questa opportunità e quali emozioni sta provando?

Sono davvero felice e orgoglioso di questo traguardo. Per me rappresenta un nuovo, importante passo nel mio percorso artistico e sto provando un mix di profonda gratitudine ed emozione.

3. Ci parli delle opere selezionate per questo evento e di cosa spera di trasmettere attraverso di esse:

Presento tre opere d'arte che sono strettamente interconnesse tra loro e che dialogano sul legame tra il mondo esterno e la nostra interiorità:

– Rappresenta la città come un organismo vivente, intessuto dalle storie e dai destini umani.

– È la chiave per accedere a quella città interiore che ognuno di noi custodisce dentro di sé, un viaggio nel mondo intimo dell'uomo.

– Una casa simile ai sogni, una memoria stellata, come un albero vivo o un fuoco interiore. È il luogo esatto in cui nasce la vita vera.

4. Se potesse incontrare un artista del passato e osservarlo mentre lavora, chi sceglierebbe?

Senza esitazione, Leonardo da Vinci.

5. Se dovesse descrivere la sua arte in tre sole parole, quali sceglierebbe?

Pensiero, Emozione, Risonanza (Sounding).

Interview with Mzekala Berdzenishvili, one of the protagonists of the event "Italy Calls the World"

On the occasion of the International Exhibition "Italy Calls the World," which will take place in New York from June 21st at the Fridman Gallery, we had the pleasure of interviewing Mzekala Berdzenishvili, one of the artists selected for the digital exhibition.

1. To begin, tell our readers when you discovered your passion and how you realized it was a true spiritual need?

I discovered my interest in drawing and realized I needed to pursue it at the very early age of three. It was a natural, instinctive calling that quickly became a true spiritual need.

2. In this New York exhibition, you will be displaying your works digitally on the gallery's giant screen. What does this opportunity mean to you, and what emotions are you experiencing?

I am very happy and proud of this achievement. For me, this represents an exciting new step in my artistic journey, and I am experiencing a mix of deep gratitude and joy.

3. Tell us about the works selected for this event and what you hope to convey through them:

For this event, I have presented three interconnected artworks that explore the relationship between the external world and our inner self:

– This piece represents the city as a living organism, intricately woven from the history of human destinies.

– It serves as the key to the inner city that we all carry within ourselves, exploring the inner world of man.

– This artwork depicts a home like dreams, a starry memory, akin to a living tree or an inner fire—the exact place where true life is born.

4. If you could meet an artist from the past and observe their work, who would you like to meet?

Without a doubt, Leonardo da Vinci.

5. If you had to describe your art in three words, which ones would you choose?

Thought, Emotion, Sounding.
