In occasione dell'evento d'arte contemporanea "Alis Artis" presso il prestigioso Mas Museo d'Arte e Scienza di Milano, incontriamo Irinel Daniela Iacob, artista rumena il cui percorso è tanto affascinante quanto i suoi quadri. 

L'intervista 

1. Ciao Irinel, Tu hai una carriera importante come ingegnera, ma oggi anche l'arte è una parte fondamentale della tua vita. Come riesci a conciliare questi due mondi, apparentemente così diversi, e in che modo l'ingegneria influenza, se lo fa, la tua visione artistica?

L'ingegneria e l'arte non si escludono a vicenda, si completano e offrono una visione olistica del mondo. Sono due linguaggi che dialogano. Non dobbiamo dimenticare che Leonardo Da Vinci non fu solo un artista geniale, ma anche un brillante ingegnere. Nel mio caso, le due dighe che ho messo in funzione le considero anche creazioni costruttiviste. Quanto ai miei quadri, essi portano l'impronta di tutta la mia esperienza di vita, quindi anche l'impronta del mio lato tecnico.

2. Partecipare a "Alis Artis" in una città come Milano, e in una sede che unisce Arte e Scienza come il Mas, cosa significa per te? E quale messaggio o sensazione speri di trasmettere al pubblico italiano e internazionale attraverso le opere che presenti?

Il pubblico italiano risuona con le mie opere ogni volta, per questo ho accettato volentieri l'invito a partecipare alla mostra "Alis Artis", il MAS è un luogo in cui torno con piacere. Le mie opere cercano di essere una voce della storia contemporanea che costruiamo insieme attraverso le nostre vite e il nostro lavoro. Il mio messaggio artistico è che l'amore tra le persone deve trionfare, la nostra casa è il pianeta Terra e siamo tutti responsabili della sua protezione.

3. Le tue opere sono dominate da colori accesi. Quanto è centrale il colore nella tua pittura? C'è una tonalità o una palette che senti più vicina alla tua espressione in questo momento?

Nelle mie creazioni, il colore è il linguaggio principale, una forma di dialogo interiore ma anche il principale ponte di connessione con il mio pubblico. Non ho colori preferiti, ogni opera rappresenta un'immagine della mia anima dal momento della creazione e ogni opera nasce con una propria tavolozza di colori che risuona con i sentimenti che ho nel cuore in quel momento.

4. Come nascono le tue opere? Sono frutto dell'istinto e dell'energia di un momento o nascono dopo un lungo periodo di riflessione e pianificazione?

Attraverso le mie opere esploro le profondità intime dell'universo interiore, ma anche l'infinita distesa del cosmo. Mi piace trasporre sulle mie tele la connessione tra l'universo interiore e il cosmo, catturare attraverso i miei colori le forze invisibili che sostengono la vita, il pensiero e lo spirito.

5. Hai partecipato a numerosi eventi e mostre in tutto il mondo. Quali sono i tuoi prossimi obiettivi per promuovere l'arte e la tua evoluzione nel prossimo futuro? Cosa desideri esplorare nella tua pittura?

In questa fase del mio percorso, ho due importanti progetti di sviluppo personale: approfondire lo studio della storia e della teoria dell'arte e aprire una mia galleria d'arte. Ho già fatto il primo passo: quest'anno ho iniziato a studiare Storia e Teoria dell'Arte presso l'Università Nazionale d'Arte di Bucarest, il che segna un nuovo capitolo di crescita ed esplorazione.

All'inizio del prossimo anno pubblicherò il mio primo album d'arte intitolato "Bringing Abstraction to Life", curato dal famoso consulente d'arte Michael Lam, edito da Vision Art Media, New York.

Come pittrice, il progetto principale a cui mi dedico ora si concentra sul tema dell'energia, quel fluido magico che mette in movimento il mondo.

Irinel Daniela Iacob: The Engineer Who Paints the Energy of Color

On the occasion of the contemporary art event "Alis Artis" at the prestigious Mas Museum of Art and Science in Milan, we meet Irinel Daniela Iacob, a Romanian artist whose career is as fascinating as her paintings.

The Interview

1. Hi Irinel, You have an important career as an engineer, but today art is also a fundamental part of your life. How do you manage to reconcile these two seemingly so different worlds and how does engineering, if it does, influence artistic vision?

Engineering and art are not mutually exclusive, they complement each other and give a holistic picture of the world. There are two languages that are in dialogue. We must not forget that Leonardo Da Vinci was not only a genius artist but also a brilliant engineer. In my case, the two dams I put into operation I also consider constructivist creations. As for my paintings, they bear the imprint of my entire life experience, therefore also the imprint of my technical side.

2. Participating in "Alis Artis" in a city like Milan and in a place that combines art and science like MAS, what does it mean to you? And what message or feeling do you hope to convey to the Italian and international public through the works you present?

The Italian public resonates with my works every time, that's why I gladly accepted the invitation to participate in the exhibition "Alis Artis", MAS is a place where I return with pleasure. My works try to be a voice of contemporary history that we build together through our lives and work. My artistic message is that love between people must triumph, our home is planet Earth and we are all responsible for protecting it.

3. Your works are dominated by bright colors. How central is color in your painting? Is there a shade or palette that you feel closest to your expression at the moment?

In my creations, color is the main language, a form of internal dialogue but also the main bridge of connection with my audience. I don't have any favorite colors, each work represents an image of my soul from the moment of creation and evry work is born with its own color palette that resonates with the feelings in my heart at that moment.

4. How do your works appear? Are they the result of the instinct and energy of a moment, or are they born after a long period of reflection and planning?

Through my works I explore the intimate depths of the inner universe, but also the infinite expanse of the cosmos. I like to transpose on my canvases the connection between the inner universe and the cosmos, to capture through my colors the invisible forces that sustain life, thought and spirit.

5. You have participated in numerous events and exhibitions around the world. What are the next goals to promote art and evolution in the near future? What do you want to explore in your painting?

At this stage of my journey, I have two important personal development projects: to deepen my study of art history and theory and to open my own art gallery. I have already taken the first step – this year I started studying Art History and Theory at the National University of Art in Bucharest, which marks a new chapter of growth and exploration.

Early next year I will release my first art album entitled "Bringing Abstraction to Life" curated by the top art consultant Michael Lam, published by Vision Art Media, New York.

As a painter, the main project I'm now dedicated to focuses on the theme of energy – that magical fluid that sets the world in motion.
