In occasione della Mostra Internazionale "Italy calls the world" che si svolgerà a New York dal 21 giugno presso la Fridman Gallery, abbiamo avuto il piacere di intervistare Jana Fučíková tra gli artisti selezionati per questo evento in videoesposizione.

1. Jana, per cominciare, racconta ai nostri lettori quando hai scoperto la tua passione e come hai capito che si trattava di un vero e proprio bisogno spirituale?

Creo fin da bambina, ma col tempo ho capito che per me l'arte non è solo una forma di espressione, bensì un bisogno dell'anima. La creazione è diventata un modo per elaborare esperienze di vita profonde, trasformazioni, silenzi, perdite e guarigione interiore. 

Lavoro in modo intuitivo e spesso entro in uno stato di flusso in cui l'opera d'arte trova gradualmente la sua direzione. Le mie sculture e i miei dipinti nascono da un bisogno interiore di dare forma visibile a processi emotivi e spirituali invisibili.

2. In questa mostra a New York, esporrai le tue opere in formato digitale sul maxi-schermo della galleria. Cosa significa per te questa opportunità e quali emozioni stai provando?

Questa opportunità significa moltissimo per me e allo stesso tempo realizza un sogno a lungo accarezzato: esporre le mie opere in America, dove una delle mie prime opere ha trovato casa e dove vive parte della mia famiglia.

Vedere le mie opere presentate lì mi riempie di gratitudine, umiltà e profonda emozione. Allo stesso tempo, credo che temi come l'anima, la trasformazione, la vulnerabilità e la coscienza umana siano universali e possano unire persone di diverse lingue e culture.

3. Parlaci delle opere selezionate per questo evento e di ciò che speri di trasmettere attraverso di esse.

I dipinti presentati in mostra fanno parte del ciclo "Accompagnamento", creato durante il periodo in cui ho accompagnato una persona cara negli ultimi momenti di vita.

Questi dipinti sono diventati una testimonianza visiva intuitiva del silenzio, della presenza, della trasformazione e della fragilità della vita.

Attraverso le mie opere, vorrei invitare lo spettatore a un silenzioso dialogo interiore sull'umanità, la vulnerabilità, la trasformazione spirituale e il viaggio dell'anima.

4. Se potessi incontrare un artista del passato e osservare le sue opere, chi vorresti incontrare?

Mi piacerebbe molto incontrare Michelangelo.

Non solo per la sua maestria nella scultura, ma anche per l'intensità spirituale presente nelle sue opere.

Le sue figure sembrano emergere dalla materia, come se l'anima stessa cercasse di rendersi visibile attraverso il corpo umano.

5. Se dovessi descrivere la tua arte in tre parole, quali sceglieresti?

Trasformazione.

Anima.

Autenticità.

Interview with artist Jana Fučíková, one of the protagonists of the event "Italy Calls the World"

On the occasion of the International Exhibition "Italy Calls the World," which will take place in New York from June 21st at the Fridman Gallery, we had the pleasure of interviewing Jana Fučíková, one of the artists selected for this video exhibition event.

1. Jana, to begin, tell our readers when you discovered your passion and how you realized it was a true spiritual need?

I have been creating since childhood, but over time I realized that art for me is not only a form of expression — it is a need of the soul. Creation became a way of processing deep life experiences, transformation, silence, loss, and inner healing. I work intuitively and often enter a state of flow in which the artwork gradually finds its own direction.

My sculptures and paintings arise from an inner need to give visible form to invisible emotional and spiritual processes.

2. In this New York exhibition, you will be displaying your works digitally on the gallery's giant screen. What does this opportunity mean to you, and what emotions are you experiencing?

This opportunity means a great deal to me and at the same time fulfills a long-held dream of exhibiting my works in America, where one of my first artworks found its home and where part of my family lives.

Seeing my work presented there fills me with gratitude, humility, and deep excitement. At the same time, I feel that themes such as the soul, transformation, vulnerability, and human consciousness are universal and can connect people across languages and cultures.

3. Tell us about the works selected for this event and what you hope to convey through them.

The paintings presented at the exhibition are part of the cycle "Accompanying", created during the period of accompanying a loved one through the final moments of life. These paintings became an intuitive visual record of silence, presence, transformation, and the fragility of life.

Through my works, I would like to invite the viewer into a quiet inner dialogue about humanity, vulnerability, spiritual transformation, and the journey of the soul.

4. If you could meet an artist from the past and observe their work, who would you like to meet?

I would very much like to meet Michelangelo.

Not only because of his mastery of sculpture, but also because of the spiritual intensity present in his works. His figures seem to emerge from matter as if the soul itself were trying to become visible through the human body.

5. If you had to describe your art in three words, which ones would you choose?

Transformation.

Soul.
