L'identità artistica di Dorota WB è definita da una straordinaria forza espressiva e da un tratto grafico deciso che ne costituisce il codice linguistico primario e inconfondibile. Le sue creazioni dispiegano un'esplosione vivace di colore e forma, veicolando l'attenzione prevalentemente sulla psiche e sul trascendente. 

In opere come Searching for the essence e The Aura, realizzate in acrilico su tela, si ravvisano elementi tipici della sua ricerca quali ad esempio la scomposizione analitica del ritratto e l'uso di colori accesi. L'artista mira a far emergere l'essenza dei soggetti che raffigura, servendosi della frantumazione geometrica e cromatica della forma, dove la sapiente intersezione dei colori puri non è mai casuale, ma orchestrata proprio per generare una tensione visiva capace di amplificare in modo significativo l'intera carica emotiva delle sue opere.  

Nonostante entrambe le tele presentino una frammentazione del volto, appare per certi versi differente la metodologia esecutiva. In Searching for the essence, la modellazione del volume ottenuta attraverso un significativo accumulo materico e a tratti densi, quasi graffiati, di giallo, blu e nero, evoca la sensazione che l'artista voglia quasi scolpire la figura per far affiorare la sua energia. 

Al contrario, in The Aura, rileviamo una maggiore disintegrazione della forma a favore di strutture verticali e ampie bande cromatiche che testimoniano anche un minore interesse per la resa volumetrica. Il rosso vermiglio, dominante a sinistra, attira l'attenzione dell'osservatore, mentre la sezione destra enfatizzando il blu profondo e il giallo/arancio, suggerisce, forse in maniera più esplicita, la dinamica pulsante della forza interiore.

Dorota WB - Searching for the essence, between geometric and chromatic fragmentation of form

A Polish artist, a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań, she works with drawing, painting, artistic photography, and digital graphics. Her works are born from the union of sensitivity, experience, and expression, and address themes such as spirituality, nature, identity, and introspection.

Dorota WB's artistic identity is defined by extraordinary expressive power and a bold graphic style that constitutes her primary and unmistakable language. Her creations unfold a vibrant explosion of color and form, drawing attention primarily to the psyche and the transcendent.

Works such as Searching for the Essence and The Aura, created in acrylic on canvas, embody elements typical of her research, such as the analytical deconstruction of portraits and the use of vibrant colors. The artist aims to bring out the essence of her subjects, using the geometric and chromatic fragmentation of form. The skillful intersection of pure colors is never random, but orchestrated precisely to generate a visual tension capable of significantly amplifying the entire emotional charge of her works.

Although both canvases feature a fragmented face, the execution method appears somewhat different. In Searching for the Essence, the modeling of the volume, achieved through a significant accumulation of material and dense, almost scratched, sections of yellow, blue, and black, evokes the sensation that the artist almost wants to sculpt the figure to bring out its energy.

By contrast, in The Aura, we detect a greater disintegration of form in favor of vertical structures and broad bands of color, which also demonstrate a lesser interest in volumetric rendering. The dominant vermilion red on the left draws the viewer's attention, while the right section, emphasizing deep blue and yellow/orange, suggests, perhaps more explicitly, the pulsating dynamic of inner strength.
