Intervista a Dominique Rovira, tra i protagonisti dell'evento "Italy calls the World".

In occasione della Mostra Internazionale "Italy calls the world" che si svolgerà a New York dal 21 giugno presso la Fridman Gallery, abbiamo avuto il piacere di intervistare Dominique Rovira tra gli artisti selezionati per l'esposizione digitale.
1. Per cominciare, potresti raccontare ai nostri lettori come hai scoperto la tua passione e come hai capito che si trattava di un autentico bisogno spirituale?
Non dipingo per riprodurre il mondo, né per copiare un'immagine fissa. Un vero artista non riproduce una fotografia: trasmette una vibrazione, un ricordo, una presenza invisibile. L'artigiano ha padroneggiato il materiale; l'artista, dal canto suo, cerca di rivelare l'anima che dimora in lui. Creare non è un atto commerciale, l'arte non è un mero esercizio di esecuzione, ma una ricerca interiore offerta al tempo e alle generazioni future. Non si crea per denaro, ma per lasciare una traccia umana e spirituale dopo la propria scomparsa. Ogni opera diventa quindi una testimonianza, un frammento d'amore e di coscienza rivolto al futuro.
2. Parlateci delle opere selezionate per questo evento e del messaggio che desiderate trasmettere attraverso di esse.
Le opere che presento sono prima di tutto dei messaggi. Parlano d'amore, di trasmissione, di memoria e del legame invisibile che unisce gli esseri umani. Attraverso le forme, i colori e i simboli, cerco di tradurre ciò che non può essere espresso solo a parole: l'emozione, la spiritualità e la traccia che ci lasciamo alle spalle. Non dipingo per riprodurre il mondo visibile, ma per rivelare ciò che abita l'anima. Ogni tela è un invito a guardare con il cuore e a sentire quella parte di umanità che ci connette gli uni agli altri, al di l'a del tempo e delle generazioni.
3. Se potessi incontrare un artista del passato e osservare le sue opere, chi sceglieresti?
Sceglierei Vincent van Gogh. Non solo per la forza emotiva della sua opera, ma anche per la sua assoluta sincerità. Dipingeva spinto da una necessità interiore, senza cercare il riconoscimento o il successo materiale. Mi piacerebbe osservare questa relazione intima che aveva con il colore, la luce e l'emozione, e capire come trasformava la sua sensibilità in un'espressione così universale.
4. Se dovessi descrivere la tua arte in tre parole, quali sceglieresti?
Amore – Trasmissione – Spiritualità
Queste tre parole riassumono il mio percorso. L'amore come fonte di creazione, la trasmissione come eredità lasciata alle generazioni future, e la spiritualità come legame tra il visibile e l'invisibile.

Interview with Dominique Rovira, one of the speakers at the "Italy Calls the World" event.
On the occasion of the International Exhibition "Italy Calls the World," which will take place in New York from June 21st at the Fridman Gallery, we had the pleasure of interviewing Dominique Rovira, one of the artists selected for the digital exhibition.
1. To begin, could you tell our readers how you discovered your passion and how you realized it was an authentic spiritual need?
I do not paint to reproduce the world, nor to copy a still image. A true artist does not reproduce a photograph: they transmit a vibration, a memory, an invisible presence. The craftsman has mastered the material; the artist, on the other hand, seeks to reveal the soul that dwells within. Creating is not a commercial act, and art is not an art of mere execution, but an inner search offered to time and future generations. One does not create for money, but to leave a human and spiritual trace after they are gone. Each work thus becomes a testimony, a fragment of love and consciousness directed toward the future.
2. Tell us about the works selected for this event and the message you wish to convey through them.
The works I am presenting are, above all, messages. They speak of love, transmission, memory, and the invisible bond that unites human beings. Through shapes, colors, and symbols, I seek to translate what cannot be expressed by words alone: emotion, spirituality, and the trace we leave behind. I do not paint to reproduce the visible world, but to reveal what inhabits the soul. Each canvas is an invitation to look with the heart and to feel that part of humanity that connects us to one another, beyond time and generations.
3. If you could meet an artist from the past and observe their work, who would you choose?
I would choose Vincent van Gogh. Not only for the emotional strength of his work, but also for his absolute sincerity. He painted driven by an inner necessity, without seeking recognition or material success. I would love to observe this intimate relationship he maintained with color, light, and emotion, and to understand how he transformed his sensitivity into such a universal expression.
4. If you had to describe your art in three words, which ones would you choose?
Love – Transmission – Spirituality
These three words summarize my approach. Love as the source of creation, transmission as a legacy left to future generations, and spirituality as the link between the visible and the invisible.
