In occasione della fiera internazionale ARTSHOPPING che si terrà a Parigi presso Le Carrousel Du Louvre dal 20 al 22 Ottobre 2023, conosciamo meglio gli artisti espositori selezionati per questo evento dallo storico e critico d'arte Francesca Callipari.

1) BENVENUTA AD ILOVEITALY NEWS, SIAMO MOLTO FELICI DI OSPITARTI IN QUESTO SPAZIO… PARLACI DI TE, COME NASCE LA TUA PASSIONE PER L'ARTE E COSA RAPPRESENTA PER TE OGGI?

Buongiorno ILOVEITALY NEWS, felice di avere questa intervista con voi e, in questo caso, di presentarmi ai vostri lettori.

Mi chiamo HOUDA GUEDDARI, un'artista marocchina che ha iniziato il suo percorso con l'arte da giovanissima. Ho scoperto l'arte attraverso gli occhi di mio padre, pittore e disegnatore appassionato. Da piccola ero molto timida e spesso cercavo rifugio nel disegno e nella creazione. Dopo il liceo ho proseguito gli studi di protesi dentale, che sono piaciuti ai miei genitori e avevano comunque un elemento artistico. Nel 2002 sono ritornata al mio primo amore frequentando vari corsi di storia dell'arte e design, tutto ciò che poteva aiutarmi a sviluppare le mie competenze.

Per qualche anno ho trasformato il mio laboratorio in uno studio dove mi sono dedicata alla mia passione. Nel 2003 ho partecipato alla mia prima mostra collettiva in Marocco. Nel 2016 ho aperto la galleria "GH Art and Design" a Fes, capitale culturale del Marocco, con l'ambizione di sostenere artisti emergenti e contribuire alla vita culturale della città. Sfortunatamente, la galleria ha attraversato momenti difficili durante la pandemia di Covid e ho dovuto chiuderla. Da allora mi sono concentrata esclusivamente sulla mia carriera di artista. Nel 2017, il mio lavoro ha iniziato a ottenere riconoscimenti... sono stata notata ai Global Art Awards di Dubai. Nel 2018 ho raggiunto un nuovo traguardo ricevendo a Firenze il Premio Leonardo Da Vinci, un momento che ha segnato una tappa significativa nella mia crescita come artista.

Da allora, ho continuato a partecipare a mostre e a ricevere riconoscimenti in diverse grandi città d'Europa, del Medio Oriente e nel mio paese natale, il Marocco. Faccio inoltre parte di diverse associazioni di artisti, in particolare in Italia, dove collaboro come poeta e scrittrice per una rivista di artisti. Oggi l'arte è la mia missione; è il percorso della mia vita. Mi esprimo attraverso di essa e riflette chi sono. È il mio modo unico di comunicare con il mondo, esprimere le mie emozioni e affrontare gli argomenti che mi stanno a cuore.

2) IN QUESTA OCCASIONE ESPORRAI DUE OPERE CHE SI CONTRADDISTINGUONO PER LA TECNICA E PER IL NOTEVOLE IMPATTO VISIVO. TI VA DI PARLARCENE?

Attraverso queste due opere in cui mi identifico e con le quali credo che tutte le donne del mondo possano identificarsi, descrivo i bisogni universali delle donne: la ricerca di libertà, rispetto, amore e accettazione, così come sono, senza giudizi, molestie, o manipolazioni. Ritraggo le donne attraverso una ballerina, che simboleggia gli ideali femminili di bellezza, eleganza, grazia, pazienza e duro lavoro. Una ballerina che balla su un piede solo su un palco, proprio come ogni donna che si destreggia tra le sfide della sua vita quotidiana per soddisfare le aspettative di ciò che la circonda, offrire amore, attenzione, gentilezza e diffondere felicità intorno a lei e nella sua famiglia.

Queste sono donne che lavorano instancabilmente e aspettano semplicemente un po' di tenerezza e riconoscimento in cambio. Sono donne tanto intelligenti quanto dotate, capaci di prendere le redini e ricoprire posizioni di potere e di decisione con brillantezza. Tuttavia, ognuno di noi ha la sua coreografia unica in questa danza della vita.

Sono estremamente felice ed emozionata di essere tra gli artisti espositori al Carrousel del Louvre a Parigi. È una vera opportunità per migliorare la mia visibilità e condividere la mia arte con un vasto pubblico, siano essi artisti, appassionati d'arte o critici d'arte in tutta Europa. 

Parigi è un centro globale per l'arte, dove molti artisti famosi hanno iniziato la loro carriera e hanno visto brillare le loro opere. Spero di seguire le loro orme e progredire sulla strada verso il successo.

A Parigi si acquisiscono esperienza, tecnica e conoscenza, ed è un periodo di grande condivisione. Questo mi motiva fortemente a superare me stesso e a dare un buon inizio alla mia carriera nel mondo dell'arte e degli artisti.

4) SOGNI NEL CASSETTO O PROSSIMI PROGETTI IN PROGRAMMA?

Naturalmente ho ambizioni molto alte e grandi sogni. Come ho già detto, per me l'arte non è solo una passione; è uno stile di vita, una componente essenziale della mia esistenza, una priorità. Spero di perseverare in questo percorso il più a lungo possibile e di raggiungere le vette più alte a cui un artista può aspirare nella propria carriera. 

Non ho ancora creato il mio lavoro migliore e mi piacerebbe continuare ad affinare le mie tecniche, attingendo da me stessa per rendere le mie opere il più rappresentative e autentiche possibile. Sono costantemente introspettiva e cerco di dare il massimo. 

Ho festival all'orizzonte, così come continui inviti a mostre. Cerco di selezionare attentamente gli eventi che si allineano meglio con me e la mia arte. So che il duro lavoro ripaga e sono una persona di fede. La cosa più importante per me è essere convinta che sto facendo quello che devo fare, il resto lo lascio alla divina provvidenza. In ogni caso, sono piena di speranza e motivazione.

1) WELCOME TO ILOVEITALY NEWS, WE ARE VERY HAPPY TO HOSTING YOU IN THIS SPACE… TELL US ABOUT YOU, HOW YOUR PASSION FOR ART WAS BORN AND WHAT DOES IT REPRESENT FOR YOU TODAY?

Hello ILOVEITALY NEWS, delighted to have this interview with you and, in this instance, introduce myself to your readers.

My name is HOUDA GUEDDARI, a Moroccan artist who began her journey with art at a very young age. I discovered art through the eyes of my father, a passionate painter and drawer. When I was a child, I was very shy and often sought refuge in drawing and creation.

After high school, I pursued studies in dental prosthetics, which pleased my parents and still had an artistic element. In 2002, I returned to my first love by taking various courses in art history and design, anything that could help me develop my skills.

For a few years, I turned my laboratory into a studio where I dedicated myself to my passion. In 2003, I participated in my first group exhibition in Morocco. In 2016, I opened the "GH Art and Design" gallery in Fes, the cultural capital of Morocco, with the ambition of supporting emerging artists and contributing to the city's cultural life. Unfortunately, the gallery faced challenging times during the Covid pandemic, and I had to close it. Since then, I have focused solely on my career as an artist.

In 2017, my work began to gain recognition, as I was noticed at the Global Art Awards in Dubai. In 2018, I reached a new milestone by receiving the Leonardo Da Vinci Award in Florence, a moment that marked a significant step in my development as an artist.

Since then, I have continued to participate in exhibitions and receive accolades in several major cities in Europe, the Middle East, and in my home country of Morocco. I am also a member of several artists' associations, particularly in Italy, where I contribute as a poet and writer for an artists' magazine.

Today, art is my mission; it's my life's path. I express myself through it, and it reflects who I am. It's my unique way of communicating with the world, expressing my emotions, and addressing the subjects that are close to my heart.

2) ON THIS OCCASION YOU WILL EXHIBIT TWO WORKS THAT ARE DISTINGUISHED FOR THEIR TECHNIQUE AND THE REMARKABLE VISUAL IMPACT. DO YOU WANT TO TELL US ABOUT IT?

Through these two works with which I identify, and which I believe all women worldwide can relate to, I depict the universal needs of women: the quest for freedom, respect, love, and acceptance, just as they are, without judgment, harassment, or manipulation. I portray women through a ballerina, symbolizing the feminine ideals of beauty, elegance, grace, patience, and hard work. A ballerina dancing on one foot on a stage, much like every woman who juggles the challenges of her daily life to meet the expectations of her surroundings, provide love, attention, kindness, and spread happiness around her and within her family.

These are women who work tirelessly and simply await a bit of tenderness and recognition in return. They are women as intelligent as they are gifted, capable of taking the reins and holding positions of decision-making and power with brilliance. However, each of us has her unique choreography in this dance of life.

I am extremely happy and moved to be among the exhibiting artists at the Louvre's Carrousel in Paris. It's a genuine opportunity to enhance my visibility and share my art with a broad audience, whether they are artists, art enthusiasts, or art critics across Europe. Paris is a global hub for art, where many famous artists began their careers and saw their works shine. I hope to follow in their footsteps and progress on the path to success.

In Paris, one gains experience, technique, and knowledge, and it's a period of immense sharing. This greatly motivates me to surpass myself and make a strong start to my career in the world of art and artists.

4) DREAMS IN THE DRAWER OR NEXT PROJECTS IN PROGRAM?

Of course, I have very high ambitions and big dreams in my mind. As I mentioned, art is not just a passion for me; it's a way of life, an essential component of my existence, a priority. I hope to persevere in this path for as long as possible and reach the highest heights an artist can aspire to in their career. I haven't created my best work yet, and I'd like to continue refining my techniques, drawing from within myself to make my artworks as representative and authentic as possible. I am constantly in introspection, striving to give my very best.

I have festivals on the horizon, as well as ongoing invitations to exhibitions. I try to carefully select those that align best with me and my art. I know that hard work pays off, and I am a person of faith. The most important thing for me is to be convinced that I am doing what I am meant to do, and the rest, I leave to divine providence. In any case, I am filled with hope and motivation.
