Intervista all'artista Anca Horescu, tra i protagonisti dell'evento "Italy calls the World"

In occasione della Mostra Internazionale "Italy calls the world" che si svolgerà a New York dal 21 giugno presso la Fridman Gallery, abbiamo avuto il piacere di intervistare Anca Horescu tra gli artisti selezionati per questo evento in videoesposizione.
1. Anca, benvenuta! Per iniziare, racconta ai nostri lettori quando hai scoperto la tua passione e come ha capito che si trattava di un vero bisogno spirituale?
Ho iniziato a dipingere quando sono andata in pensione e, più precisamente, all'inizio della pandemia. È stato un modo per esprimere i miei sentimenti e sconfiggere la paura. Attraverso il colore, ho cercato di ridare speranza alle persone a me care.
2. In questa mostra a New York, le tue opere saranno esposte digitalmente sul grande schermo della galleria. Cosa significa per te questa opportunità e quali emozioni stai provando?
Esponendo in questa bellissima mostra da voi organizzata, sogno che le persone che ammireranno una piccola parte dei miei quadri possano conoscermi, e che restino incantate dal fatto che la Romania sia presente a New York attraverso l'arte. Vi ringrazio per l'opportunità che mi avete concesso, aiutandomi a esporre a New York.
3. Ci parli delle opere selezionate per questo evento e di cosa speri di trasmettere attraverso di esse:
Attraverso tutti i miei quadri cerco di ritrarre, nel modo più realistico possibile, il cammino della speranza nella vita.
4. Se potessi incontrare un artista del passato e osservare il suo lavoro, chi ti piacerebbe incontrare?
Se potessi tornare indietro nel tempo, mi piacerebbe incontrare Rembrandt, per poter fare mia la sua tecnica del chiaroscuro, l'accuratezza e il realismo della sua pittura.
5. Se dovessi descrivere la tua arte in tre parole, quali sceglieresti?
Ritengo che tutto ciò che dipingo mi porti in un mondo più bello, dove la speranza, la gioia e il colore accarezzano gli occhi e l'anima, donandoci la pace interiore.

Interview with artist Anca Horescu, one of the protagonists of the event "Italy Calls the World"
On the occasion of the International Exhibition "Italy Calls the World," which will take place in New York from June 21st at the Fridman Gallery, we had the pleasure of interviewing Anca Horescu, one of the artists selected for this video exhibition event.
1. Anca, welcome! To begin, tell our readers when you discovered your passion and how you realized it was a true spiritual need?
I started painting when I retired, more precisely when the pandemic began, as it was a way to express my feelings and overcome fear. Through color, I tried to restore hope to those close to me.
2. In this New York exhibition, you will be displaying your works digitally on the gallery's giant screen. What does this opportunity mean to you, and what emotions are you experiencing?
By exhibiting in this beautiful show organized by you, I dream that the people who admire a small part of my paintings will get to know me, and will be delighted that Romania is featured in NY through art. Thank you for the opportunity you have given me, helping me to exhibit in NY.
3. Tell us about the works selected for this event and what you hope to convey through them:
Through all my paintings, I try to depict the path of hope in life as realistically as possible.
4. If you could meet an artist from the past and observe their work, who would you like to meet?
If I could go back in time, I would like to meet Rembrandt, so I could master his chiaroscuro (light and shadow) technique, and the accuracy and realism of his painting.
5. If you had to describe your art in three words, which ones would you choose?
I believe that everything I paint takes me to a more beautiful world, where hope, joy, and color soothe the eyes and the soul, bringing us inner peace.
